No baby yet. Went to midwife yesterday and she said between 2 and 3 cm, 90% effaced. Baby is low ("Well, there's his head,") but I wasn't in early labor or anything like that. Having contractions but nothing that really appears to be heading anywhere. Of course, as she said, "Just remember that it's not that bad until it is." Um. Right. I'll bear that in mind.

yay! approaching 38w means there's a good chance this baby will know how to nurse.

See, when I am 37w4d I still have 3 weeks to go. Or 4 maybe.

OTE, I wouldn't be as antsy if I hadn't had two of my three kids by now! I totally thought I'd have this baby a week ago. I'm more than happy to wait another week or even two--it's the uncertainty that's killing me! Will my water break tonight or won't it?
My earliest was 39w0d. The other boy was 40w0d. The girls were all 41w0d or more. So I can't really relate to being only 37w4d and feeling "late" already.
Oh, and if I was 2-3cm and 90% effaced, I'd head for the hospital. I also don't dilate early.
Fascinating how different women are so different, isn't it!
Anyway, b'sh'ah tova, and may everything go well -- and everyone get where they need to at the right time as well.
Miriam, I've walked around at 2-3 cm for a few weeks at least twice. No idea how long I've been here now, because she only checked me the once, but I'm guessing at least a week based on how I'm feeling.
And Persephone, I think she was just going based on precedent! Of course, based on precedent I should have a baby by now, so maybe this one is a girl.
