when what in my mailbox should appear...

Chol ha'moed is hard. Why is chol ha'moed hard? Because you're not supposed to knit, of course.

And what did I just get in my inbox to distract me from this terrible state of deprivation? None other than a ravelry invite.

Oh, dear.

I don't knit, but those beautiful blue/green cashmere yarns make me want to. My sympathies. And thanks for the challah recipe. My oven thermometer is not working these days so no baking....

I looked up Chol ha'moed to see what it meant (the intermediate days of a festival).

So knitting is considered strenuous work? Yikes.

And I put my name on the list to be told when the Ravelry site is up and working. Looks like fun.

Oh oh oh. Well, Simchat Torah is over tomorrow night, right? And is it verboten to look at knitting during chol ha'moed? Or to plan some knitting?

Boy, I'm not really encouraging you to a heart and mind devoted to observance, am I?

At the risk of sounding like a teenager on MySpace, make sure you friend me as soon as you get online (harmlessdrudge, of course).
